When do I start sending payments to SCDU?

August 2, 1999

Where should I sand my payments starting August 2 (for non wage-attached defendants only)?

Can I start sanding my payments to SCDU before August 2?

No, because SCDU will not post any payments until August 2. While SCDU is holding your payment, enforcement activity may be initiated against you

What should I do with the payment coupons I receive?

Fill out the coupon with the amount of money you are paying ALWAYS send in a coupon with every payment to SCDU

When will I receive my payment coupons?

You will receive a set of coupons around the third weekend of every month for the next month's payments.

When will I receive my first set of payment coupons?

You will receive the coupons for August's payments between July 12-16

If I lose my coupons OR I need some extra coupons, how can I get them?

  •  Before October 1 write your SSN and PACSES member ID on your check and mail it to SCDU without a coupon.

  • After October 1, request more coupons through the SCDU website, contact your DRS office, or write your SSN and PACSES member ID on your check and mail it without a coupon.

Can I make cash payments?

SCDU will not accept cash payments Please pay by check or money order to SCDU.

Can I make a walk in payment at DRS office or at SCDU?

Walk-in payments will not be accepted by the DRS office or by SCDU. All payments must be mailed to SCDU.

When and how can I make phone payments (or credit card payments)?

  •  Starting October 1, credit card payments by phone will be accepted by SCDU.

  •  Payors must call every month to make a credit card payment; they cannot set up an account to automatically charge their card every month.

  • Only MasterCard and Visa (credit or debit) cards will be accepted.

Can I set up an EFT account to automatically send payments?

Defendants have to set up EFT accounts through their own personal banks. Their banks should call SCDU to got the SCDU bank account number

Do I need a court order to start sending payments to a different location?

Your redirect notice is the legal document and administrative order that mandates this change.

Where can I get my financial information?

  • Before 8/2 - Call Module 4 on your county AVR

  • After 8/2 - Call the SCDU AVR

  • After 10/1 - Call the SCDU AVR or check the website

What is the number for the SCDU AVR?

  • SCDU AVR (1-877-PAS-SCDU) (1-877-727-7238)

  • Hearing impaired (1~77-676-9582)

  • These are toll free numbers nationwide

When will the SCDU AVR start working and what are its hours?

  • SCDU AVR will be activated on August 2 at 8 AM

  • You can access your financial information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

  • If you wish to speak to a customer service representative, you must call M-F between 8 AM – 5 PM

What information can I get from the SCDU AVR?

  • On August 2, you can only access your last three receipts

  • After August 2, the data stored in the AVR will expand to include up to the last five receipts and the last five disbursements.

Starting 8/2, whom should I call for:

  • Payment information: SCDU AVR

  • Case-based non-payment questions: DRS office

Do I have to set up a PIN on the SCDU AVR and if so how7

  • You do have to set up a PIN number

  • You set it up the same way you set up your PIN on the PACSES AVR

What is the SCDU website address and when will the website be available?

  • The website address is www.pa-childsupport.com

  • The website will be available on October 1, 1999.

What information can 1 get from the website?

  • General SCDU information will be available.

  • Secured information (that will require a password) will be the last 5 payments, 5 receipts, and arrears.

I did not receive a redirection notice. What should I do?

  • PACSES is incorrect. Please verify your current address now.

  • Contact your DRS of flee to pick-up a redirection notice.

Where do I send correspondence (case information such as address changes, employment changes, appointment scheduling, etc.)?

To your DRS office

When will I start receiving my cheeks from SCDU in Harrisburg?

SCDU will start printing all checks on August 2, 1999

Can I set up an EFT (direct deposit) account to automatically receive payments?

  • EFTs to plaintiffs will be possible as of October 1.

  • You can set up an EFT account through your DRS office.

  • You must have your own checking or savings account to set up an EFT account.

  • Please bring a checkbook, voided check and/or deposit slip to your DRS office to facilitate setting up the EFT account

Where can I cash my checks without incurring a fee?

  • A bank where you have a personal account if they do not charge their own account holders

  • Any First Union Bank

How long after the payor sends in the payment will my check be mailed?

The mandated timeframe from receipt of checks-at SCDU to disbursement is 24 hours.

I have not received my check What should I do?

Call SCDU and ask them if they have sent the check.

I have not received my check and SCDU has sent it.

  • The check may have been lost in the mail - SCDU will verify that the check has not been cashed, SCDU will stop payment on the check and SCDU will reissue the check to the plaintiff. SCDU will wait 15 days after the first check was sent before they will void and reissue the check.

  • The check may have been stolen - If a stolen check has not been cashed, then SCDU will void and reissue the check. If a stolen check has been cashed, however, SCDU will send the plaintiff a copy of the cashed check and then it is the plaintiff's responsibility to follow up and retrieve the money

I have not received my check because SCDU has not sent it.

Your defendant may not have made his/her payment. Call the DRS to initiate enforcement activity.
